engineering for clients with a large inventory of structures.
Projects have included structural evaluation of existing structures
(building, bridges, cranes, and pipelines), design of new additions and
repairs, maintenance of drawings. The following is a short list
of the many facilities engineering projects undertaken.
Bragaw Annex Structural Deviations.
Conducted an investigation into structural problems with a building in Anchorage.
Tanana/Tazlina Pipeline Bridge Inspections.
Completed final design package for the inspection of the Tanana and
Tazlina pipeline bridges. Reviewed consultant inspection reports.
Snow Shelters for High Voltage Transformers & Redundant Fire Water Valves.
Performed the design for 15 steel roofs to cover transformers and
containment systems. Also designed 13 steel roofs to cover
emergency fire water valves.
Valdez Tanker Berthing Criteria.
Reviewed original design documents for the floating berth (Berth #1) to
answer questions regarding size of vessel that can be accommodated.
Facilities Drawing Maintenance, Alaska & the Yukon
Maintained facilities drawings for an organization with over 35
structures located throughout Alaska and the Yukon. Active
project since 1999
Vapor Recovery Incinerator Renovation.
Provided structural support relating to high temperature strengths of
steel, structural supports for refractory, and definition of seismic
design criteria.
Valdez Cable Tray Repair.
Worked with Valdez Terminal Engineers to determine methods of repairing
snow load damaged cable trays. Also investigated the stability of
cable tray supports.
